The fingerprint reader on my Pixel 2 XL was acting up so I sent it to Google for repairs – leaving me without a phone. I made it almost two days before caving and picking up a Pixel 3.

First impressions? The camera is amazing and the build quality is stellar.

I have such a love/hate relationship with Bleeding Cool (and Polygon).

I struggle because I like reading news on the site — since they’re often breaking big stories within the industry — but, as many would have seen today, they’re constantly putting spoilers directly into the headlines of their articles, which drives me nuts. I’ve added and removed them from my RSS feeds more times than I can count over the past couple years because of shit like this.

Publishers, if you run a story with a spoiler in it, have some respect for your readers and don’t put it in the title.

Titanfall 2

I felt inspired after watching the Noclip Half-Life doc and decided to toss $10 – an absurdly good deal – at EA for Titanfall 2 on PC. I’m looking forward to checking out the single player campaign after hearing so many good things about it.

Something I’ve been working on over the past little while is moving my blog off of WordPress and on to Blot.

Converting the posts was tough at first (and will be an ongoing project) but converting my existing theme over and getting everything up and running behind the scenes was otherwise pretty painless, aside from a pretty big change to my main URL and permalink structure.

It’s a good one this week my dudes.

My longtime Tumblr blog isn’t affected by the update to their content guidelines. That said, I find it infuriating that neo-nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups are allowed to remain on their platform as photos of “female-presenting nipples” are being flagged and removed left and right.

I’ll likely be migrating the content of my page over to this site in the next little while and decommissioning that page as soon as possible. This is ridiculous.

Keeping up with DC’s Drowned Earth crossover event was so much harder than it should have been. There’s one supertitled Justice League / Aquaman and another Aquaman / Justice League. One is the first issue, the other is the final issue, and they’re both listed as issue one.

Simple, right?

On a completely unrelated note, I bought a ton of comics today.

Thinking of doing a weekly IRL Twitch stream where I just flip through my weekly comic stack and chat about the books.

It’s hard to recommend We Were Here Too after it completely bugged out at the very end of our playthrough last night. It’s such a shame too since it started off so strong.

After about three hours with it last night, I have to say that We Were Here Too has one of the coolest implementations of co-op gameplay I’ve seen in a long time.

No stream tonight (obviously) as I try my best to show my wife how good I remember It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia being.

Not every comic book character needs and “old man/woman” version and an ongoing/maxi series to boot. I think we’ve gotten more than enough of them over the past year.

After spending a couple hours with Fallout 76 last night, I’m pretty impressed. It feels like a Fallout game – in a good way – but the new element of multiplayer is exciting and should make for some interesting encounters. Looking forward to playing more of it today.

I’m going to be jumping on the Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. today when it goes live in a couple hours. If you’re interested in following along, I’ll be streaming on my Twitch channel starting around 3:45PM CST.

Back home, safe and sound from TwitchCon. If you swung by our booth, thank you for taking the time to check out Flocker. It was a pleasure to share what we’re doing and have such a great response. Big things coming soon.
