PC gamers planning to explore the post-apocalyptic world of Metro Exodus will have to go through the Epic Games Store. Publisher Deep Silver announced today that the upcoming game will be available exclusively through the Epic Games Store at launch and will be pulled from Steam.

Not only does this make me less interested in Metro Exodus but it makes me want to use Epic’s game launcher/store even less than I already did.

For THQ Nordic/Deep Silver — in the longterm — taking away avenues for people to buy their game feels like a huge mistake, regardless of how much Fortnite money Epic is throwing at them. For Epic, moves like this will only piss people off, not bring them over to their service.

In this case, it feels like everybody loses.
